Fear not, O Jacob my servant,

to which I have driven you,
but of you I will not make a full end.
I will discipline you in just measure,
and I will by no means leave you unpunished.” Jeremiah 46:28
God, revealed here in Jeremiah, is a God of mercy and grace and justice. Tucked in here between messages of judgment on Israel and surrounding nations, is this promise. GOD promises to be WITH the people. He promises NOT to put and end to them. However, God is also loving and just, and he will not withhold the discipline the people need.
Hebrews 12:6 “For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”
Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, SO be zealous and repent.
