I rejoice at your word
like one who finds great spoil. Psalm 119:162
God’s Word brings great JOY! Do I rejoice over what I read in the Bible daily? Really rejoice? As if I have discovered a hidden treasure? Psalm 119:162 implies that we should have the kind of wonder and joy of finding immense treasure or “spoil”!
Matthew 13:44 confirms this idea: “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
