Indeed, Judges 19: 1 says, “In those days, when there was no king in Israel….” and the passage grows more tragic and dark. Unfaithfulness, deceit, gang rape, murder…

I’m following along with you and am continually struck by how dark this book is. What horrible events in Judges 19. Interesting that Genesis 19 details similar events before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah…
