Francis Chan quoted from our Bible reading passage (Matthew 11:20-24) Feb 2, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. He asked us to ponder two scenarios. One was a church that had bad theology and preaching and didn’t respond to the hurting world around them as Christ would. The other was a church with sound doctrine, great preaching but didn’t respond to the hurting world around them as Christ would. Which is worse?
How would you respond? How do you think Jesus would respond?
Francis then took us to Revelation 3 and challenged us with Jesus’ response to the church at Sardis and the church at Laodicea.
