A multitude of different interpretations of the symbols and prophecies found in Revelation make it seem that we can never really know for certain just what is the point. Seals. Trumpets. Bowls. Is it too complicated for the average reader?
I read many different commentaries, each with their view on what the seven bowls of wrath mean. While others may take a keen interest in exactly what is meant, one point jumped off the page and should not be missed in Revelation 16:5-7
“Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was,
for you brought these judgments.
For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
and you have given them blood to drink.
It is what they deserve!”And I heard the altar saying,“Yes, Lord God the Almighty,
true and just are your judgments!”
Regardless of your view on the interpretation of Revelation, don’t miss this point. God is just and holy. Wrath and punishment that is poured out in judgment is deserved! Why?
Revelation 16:9 “……They did not repent and give him glory.”
