God’s whole heart is loving us

In Psalm 119:2 we read:  Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart,

need new heartDo I seek God with my WHOLE heart?  If not, how can that happen?

Look at the promise of Jeremiah 24:7: “ I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

And Jeremiah 29:13: You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

And Jeremiah 32:39-41: —I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.

God gives new HEARTThe Bible seems to say that this is to be ALL God’s doing. And He is to do it with His whole heart and His whole soul. Can you grasp this?  God’s whole heart is loving us,  and delighting to keep His promise, and to make us wholly His own! He gives us a new heart that WANTS to seek Him and love Him with that WHOLE new heart!

Lord, open our eyes and help us see Your incredible grace, mercy and love for us!

  1. I really love your post. Not only does God love us with His whole heart, we are called to love Him with all our heart. My pastor shared in a message a few weeks ago that our heart is like a house with many rooms. Not only is Jesus our Savior, He is also meant to be our Lord and Master. We are to give Him authority over every room in our heart. He then said, “What room are you not giving Christ authority over?”
